Abstract

Some 3,800 vehicles came through the York tollbooth on the Maine Turnpike on Friday between 5 and 6 P.M., the busiest hour leading up to the Fourth of July holiday. One of the better known tourists to visit the state over the weekend was Czech President Vaclav Havel, who visited former President George Bush in Kennebunkport for a few hours between a speech in Philadelphia and a flight back to Prague.
