Abstract

Ten candidates for the Maine House have withdrawn since the June primary election, ensuring that at least 57 of the 151 representatives in that body will not return. Republicans are not contesting 18 House races, while Democrats had no candidate in 12 House districts. Both parties are fielding candidates in all of the 35 Senate races.
