Abstract

The Scarborough Town Council yesterday unanimously approved an updated comprehensive plan, the first update since 1979. The Comprehensive Plan Review Committee had worked on the plan for almost three years, and it was adopted by the Planning Board earlier this month. Some of the issues addressed by the plan include the establishment of a centrally located municipal park, the construction of a new connector road between Exit 6 of the Maine Turnpike and Route 1 and the preservation of rural landscape elements in new subdivisions.
