Abstract

A public hearing on a bill which would force state hospitals to craft a plan for every patient who is discharged was held in Augusta, and both proponents and opponents of the measure spoke up. Opponents said the bill would violate the rights of patients by keeping them hospitalized, while proponents said without better outside help patients land back in the hospital or in jail. Details.
