Abstract

Maine Mental Health Commissioner Susan Davenport yesterday said that she agrees with all the objectives outlined in the agreement signed by Justice Sidney Wernick last Friday, which says the state has an obligation to care for mentally ill residents who are dependent on public services. Davenport said her department intends to build 200 new housing units a year for the next 20 years, including group homes, subsidized housing and apartments. Details.
