Abstract
Cumberland County District Attorney Stephanie P. Anderson wants to allow police officers to prosecute the hundreds of minor traffic cases they bring to Portland District Court each year. The policy change, a return to the system used throughout Maine until the early 1970s, must be endorsed by Portland's two resident judges.
