Abstract

Article describes the events and participants at the third annual Wilderness Rendezvous, a weeklong gathering in the town of Jackman, Maine, that provides outdoor recreational activities for disabled people. The non-profit group coordinating the project hopes to see the event as just one element of a more ambitious effort to attract disabled people to the Jackman region on a year-round basis. Disabled Outdoor Experiences plans to purchase an 80-acre farm along the Moose River and turn it into a nature center.
