Abstract
U.S. Supreme Court today upheld the right of private clubs to exclude negroes as guests. It is not known if decision will have any effect on current legislation between Maine State Liquor Commission and three state Elks lodges, a controversy expected to be settled by removal of whites-only restriction from Elks National by-laws at national convention in July.
