Abstract

The Portland Water District's board of trustees has approved an acquisition program that seeks to acquire all Sebago Lake frontage within two miles of the district's intake pipes. The program applies to land within 1,000 feet of the Sebago shoreline, as well as property within 1,000 feet of Standish Brook, Sticky River and Rich Mill Pond Outlet Brook, and is intended to protect the drinking water source of Greater Portland.
