Abstract
The proposed 1995 federal defense budget would cut a P-3 Orion Patrol Squadron from Brunswick Naval Air Station, but BNAS spokesman Lt. David Welsh expects the effects of any approved cuts to be minimal because the Navy plans to expand the size of its existing squadrons from eight to nine planes. Although the budget and the proposed cuts have not been officially approved, BNAS has plans to decommission Patrol Squadron 23 in February.
