Abstract
Scott Paper Co. Chairman Alfred J. Dunlap yesterday said that several domestic and foreign paper companies are interested in Scott's S. D. Warren division, but International Paper Co. is not among them. Dunlap also announced plans to lay off one-third of the company's 10,500 workers by the end of the year, which combined with plans to close or reduce capacity at older plants will result in estimated savings of $420 million annually.
