Abstract

David Campbell of the Maine Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations yesterday said that the planned discount liquor store in Saco will allow the state to win back the liquor sales it has lost to New Hampshire in recent years. The proposed Saco store will be the state's second discount liquor store and the only one with direct access to the Maine Turnpike. Campbell blamed the Kittery store's poor location on the loss of $10 million in annual liquor sales to New Hampshire.
