Abstract

YCR Corp., the new owner of the so-called black ash site on the north side of the Royal River in downtown Yarmouth, is putting together a proposal for a new post office on the 26-acre parcel. Montgomery Yale, lead partner in YCR, owns the adjacent property on Route 1, and purchased the mortgage on the black ash site for a fraction of the money owed on the property. The black ash on the property is a byproduct of the paper mills once situated there, and state environmental officials have indicated it is not hazardous. Details.
