Abstract

Obituary of Dr. Edgar Andrew Bering Jr., 77, of Isleboro, a neurosurgeon, medical researcher and member of the 1936 U.S. team at the first Pan American Games in Osorno, Chile. Bering, who won the downhill skiing competition at Osorno, was named to the team for the 1940 Olympic Games, which were not held due to World War II.
