Abstract
The Maine Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau say that one of the most persistent consumer scams during the summer is the driveway sealing deal, in which out-of-town crews offer driveway sealing jobs at bargain prices and leave the homeowner with shoddy work and fewer dollars. The BBB has launched a campaign to alert consumers to such scams. The Attorney General's Office has recently come out with a comprehensive consumer law guide to help the state's residents understand their rights in business transactions. Details.
