Abstract

Bath Iron Works has filed suit in Sagadahoc County Superior Court against Lloyd's of London and the Institute of London Underwriters, claiming the two insurers since April 13 have refused to pay BIW's workers' compensation claims and owe the shipbuilder around $2 million. The suit alleges that the two insurers have threatened to cut off BIW's coverage and force the company to repay more than $15 million in claims paid out since 1990. Details.
