Abstract

Former University of Maine System chancellor Robert Woodbury plans to return to the system in fall 1995 as a teacher, at a salary of $85,432, more than 30 percent higher than the average professor's pay. Individual member of the Associated Faculty of the University of Maine System are upset, but no organized protest is planned. Critics say Woodbury's deal feeds the public perception that the university system has money to burn in a time of economic need. Details, list of top ten salaries in university system.
