Abstract

Local S7 of the International Association of Machinists, which represents 447 clerical and administrative workers at Bath Iron Works, yesterday voted 352-17 in favor of accepting a new three-year contract. Around 82 percent of the membership voted, and for the first time were able to do so on paid company time. The vote follows by one week the approval of a similar contract by BIW's largest union, Local S6 of the IAM. Details.
