Abstract

Maine Vocals, the group advocating for the legalization of marijuana, grossed $80,000 at last weekend's Hempstock festival in Starks. The group, which became a non-profit corporation on October 10, 1993, would like to make its financial status public, but is unable to because the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated their records during an October 1993 raid on Donald Christen's home in Madison. Christen, founder of the group, has been charged with aggravated traffcking of a schedule Z drug. Details.
