Abstract

Knox County Superior Court justice Margaret Kravchuk yesterday approved a consent agreement between the Maine Attorney General's Office and Clifford Shattuck, 61, owner of the Lighthouse Motel in Lincolnville, under which Shattuck paid $3,000 in civil penalties and was enjoined from violating anyone's civil rights. Shattuck earlier pleaded no contest to a criminal charge of disorderly conduct and was fined $600. The agreement and the charge stem from Shattuck's treatment earlier this summer of two Israeli tourists, a case that brought to light allegations concerning threats and an assault dating to 1990 and 1991.
