Apparel Management Group, lead investors for John Roberts, yesterday sought to back away from key provisions of a tentative agreement with the Finance Authority of Maine. AMG last week agreed to provide personal guarantees that would have allowed it to use $80,000 in accounts receivable to pay workers at the financially troubled Biddeford clothing manufacturer.
