Abstract

A $2.8 million paving project on Interstate 295 will restrict southbound traffic to one lane at the Bucknam Road interchange in Falmouth and at the Veranda Street overpass in Portland. The work, part of a normal maintenance schedule, is expected to have a major impact on the morning commute. The Maine Department of Transportation by next July will repave the entire 5 1/2 miles of I-295 from Kensington Street in Portland to the Falmouth-Cumberland line. Details.
