Abstract

David W. Crook, district attorney for Somerset and Kennebec counties, might have acted improperly on January 10 when he hugged and kissed Deborah Roy of Skowhegan. Roy met with Crook to ask that assault charges that she lodged against her husband be dropped, which Crook refused to do. The state Board of Overseers of the Bar found there was probable cause to believe that Crook engaged in misconduct, and suggested that either a public reprimand be issued or information seeking suspension or disbarment be filed.
