Abstract

Brief article reporting that Creative Apparel Associates has won a $17.9 million federal contract to manufacture 100,000 fire-resistant suits for the U.S. Marine Corps. The company is a partnership owned by the Passamaquoddy Indian Nation and J & P Apparel Inc., and manufactures protective outerwear at plants in Belmont and Princeton. It also makes outerwear for L.L. Bean, Burton Snowboards, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy.
