A Portland Press Herald poll of 795 Mainers revealed that 30.6 percent of respondents identified economic development and job creation as the top priority in the state. Health care and health insurance, state taxes and state spending, child abuse and family violence and the quality of education were other concerns that ranked high among respondents.
