Madeleine G. Corson, the granddaughter of Guy P. Gannett, yesterday was elected chairman of the board of directors of Guy Gannett Communications. Corson, who has served as vice chairman of the board since 1990, succeeds Jean Gannett Hawley, who died September 4. Details.
