Abstract

Gerald Jordan, 49, of Kezar Falls, keeps a dozen pairs of paired oxen at his farm, and this week some of those teams are pulling against teams from acorss the region at the Cumberland Fair. Competition involves getting the teams to pull a concrete load the furthest during a five-minute period. Dr. Lawrence Murch, an optometrist from Mechanic Falls, raises beef cattle, and shows them at the fair. Details.
