Abstract

Glenn Clarke, president of Maine Brand Manufacturing of Houlton, yesterday announced plans to open a factory in the 19,000-square-foot mill in Harmony vacated last year by DeLong Sportswear Inc. of Iowa. Maine Brand, which manufacturers gloves, on Tuesday signed a two-year lease with the town of Harmony. The company operates plants in Houlton and the Caribbean, and was considering moving out of Maine before being approached by Harmony officals. Details.
