Abstract

Tom Valleau, Portland's waterfront director, hired Jara Goodrich, Portland Symphony Orchestra's principal harpist, to play for the passengers arriving last week aboard the luxury cruise ship Silver Crowd. The cruise director, Roy Solaire, and the ship's musicians were so taken with her and her music that she was enticed to sail aboard the Silver Cloud for a four-week tour to Nassau, beginning October 11.
