Abstract

Around two dozen Republican candidates for the Maine House of Representatives yesterday unveiled a plan called "50 Ways to Get Maine Working," a sprawling package of initiatives they claim will boost employment, promote economic growth and prove that the state Legislature can be job-friendly. Hours late, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Joseph Brennan and a half-dozen legislators gathered at the State House in Augusta to promote Brennan's agenda for the next Legislature. Details.
