Abstract

Analysis of the latest polling on the gubernatorial race. The Portland Newspapers surveyed showed Democratic candidate Joseph Brennan with 31 percent of the vote, around five points lower than he polled in late September. Independent Angus King gained around three points between the two polls. One observer noted that both figures are near or within the poll's error margin of plus or minus 4.5 percent, and says it's hard to tell the results of the poll.
