Abstract

The state Emergency Medical Services agency has begun distributing bright orange bracelets that will notify Emergency Medical Service crews that the individual should receive comfort care but not lifesaving measures in the event. The bracelets are available only to the terminally ill, and are intended to help patients who don't want their lives prolonged through extra medical measures. Several other states have such programs in place.
