Abstract

Democratic legislators remain undecided whether House speaker John L. Martin should be forced to resign for his role in the recent State House ballot-tampering scandal. Although this week's release of a prosecutor's report cleared Martin of any criminal behavior, it did raise questions about how much he knew and whether he should have shared his knowledge with investigators.
