Abstract

Pilots in the Rangeley area are protesting an Air National Guard plan that would allow military jets to fly as low as 300 feet over western Maine during training missions. The pilots told the Federal Aviation Administration that there have been close calls involving military jets and civilian aircraft, and that the proposed changes would add to the possibility of a midair collision.
