Abstract
The Maine Department of Transportation plans to demolish the abandoned Pleasantdale Grange Hall in Scarborough when it realigns Black Point Road, but the Scarborough Historical Society wants the building moved instead. A team from the Maine Historic Preservation Commission determined that the building, built around 1900, did not meet the criteria for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. The historical society plans to lobby state and local officials to save the building. Details.
