Abstract

William M. Bennett, who was fired from his position as headmaster at Portland's Waynflete School in March after 18 years on the job, is suing the school, saying he never had a chance to answer harassment charges made by a female subordinate. In a lawsuit filed in Cumberland County Superior Court, Bennett asks for reinstatement as headmaster, back pay and an unspecified amount of damages.
