Abstract

An accident at a 20,000-gallon kerosene storage tank at Spring Brook Ice and Oil Co. in Waterville sent nearly 8,000 gallons of the fuel flowing toward a storm drain and into Messalonskee Stream. Glenn Wall of the state Department of Environmental Protection classified the spill as major.
