Abstract

The Maine Advisory Commission on Radioactive Waste voted unanimously to recommend the approval of a pact which would allow Maine to truck low-level radioactive waste to a dump site in western Texas. The compact was recently approved by the Texas House of Representatives, and still must be considered by the governor of Texas, the Maine House and the U.S. Congress.
