Abstract

Six Maine educators will each receive a $25,000 award from the Milken Family Foundation for excellence in their profession. Receiving the awards are Ann A. Billings, a former Deering High physics teacher; Cynthia O'Shea, principal of Gorham's Narragansett School; Irving Richardson, a teaching principal at Freeport's Mast Landing School; Duane Small, a curriculum coordiantor in Waterville; Franklin McElwain, agriculture instructor in Limestone; and Mary Giard, a Bangor elementary teacher.
