Abstract
The Presumpscot River swelled to flood stage, but officials in Gorham and Westbrook said they expected no serious problems. Maine Emergency Management Agency director David N. Brown said most areas are experiencing a day-by-day decline in snow-melt volume, with the Presumpscot the state's only exception.
