Abstract

The Portland Pirates, Maine's new American Hockey League team, received a one-year affiliation agreement with the Washington Capitals and a three-year lease with the Cumberland County Civic Center. The Capitals will provide half of the new team, with the remainder of the roster made up of players signed by the Pirates and some loaned by other National Hockey League teams. Lease details.
