Abstract

Reiniker Constructing Co. Inc of Texas was awarded a $1.4 million contract to repave an 11-mile strip of the Maine Turnpike that runs through Lewiston and Auburn. The company uses an unconventional pavement recycling process which uses a train of three pieces of equipment that slowly moves along the highway, lifting and re-applying the used pavement in a single pass.
