Abstract

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court overturned the rape conviction of former University of Southern Maine student Jon Steen, 23, of Westborough, Mass., arguing that misconduct on the part of Cumberland County District Attorney Stephanie Anderson denied Steen a fair trial. Steen was convicted after an alleged attack which occurred at a 1991 fraternity party in Gorham.
