Abstract

Officials of the Senior Legislative Advocacy Coalition said the state should trim Medicaid costs by freezing nursing home spending and increasing the amount spent on home-based care. According to the Coalitiion, home-based care costs $9,000 per year per client, while nursing home care is $29,000 per year per client.
