Abstract
The Maine Legislature has put off the debate over a proposed Passamaquoddy Indian gambling casino in Calais until at least next year, claiming Gov. McKernan and a majority of senators are opposed to the bill. Questions have also been raised about the background of two individuals identified as potential financial backers of the casino.
