Abstract

South Portland heart surgeon Dr. Robert McAfee has been a trustee of the American Medical Association for nine years, and is now running for president of the 300,000-member organization. The election, to be held June 16 in Chicago, will pit McAfee against Washington internist and rheumatologist Dr. Raymond Scalettar.
