Abstract

Kris Clark, owner of Portland nightclub Zootz, is expecting more than 1,000 people for an all-night dance rave scheduled for this weekend in an as-yet undisclosed empty warehouse on the waterfront. Raves started in the late 1980s as secret, after-hours dance blowouts, and are regaining popularity in the U.S.
