Abstract

The Maine Houe of Representatives voted 72-60 in favor of a bill which would ban discrimination against homosexuals in matters involving housing, employment, credit and public accomodation, setting the stage for a final Senate vote. If passed by the Senate, the bill goes to Governor John R. McKernan, who renewed his intention to veto the measure.
