Abstract
Opponents of a new South Portland ordinance banning topless dancing have turned in repeal petitions containing more than 1,000 signatures, effectively suspending the law while the signatures are validated. If 890 of the signatures are valid, the city council must hold a public meeting to discuss repeal.
