Abstract

Habitat for Humanity, which has built 13 affordable homes in Greater Portland from the ground up, is considering renovating a tax-acquired house in North Windham . The house could become the first such property in the area to be converted into affordable housing by Habitat, which targets families that can't afford a conventional mortgage.
